Support for Younger People with Dementia

Support

As a younger person with dementia you can also access other dementia services, not specifically geared towards younger people. Some of these may have off-putting titles, e.g. "Old Age Psychiatrists" are actually the specialists in most forms of dementia. Try not to let this bias towards older people put you off getting the help you need.

More information is available in our Support and Services section.

YoungDementia UK

YoungDementia UK was established in spring 1998 (formally known as the Clive Project) to develop and provide a range of integrated, specialist and flexible services for younger people with dementia and their carers. Read Clive's Story on the website.

The support offered is for people within Oxfordshire but the website can offer telephone support for anyone elsewhere in the country.

The YoungDementia UK has an open referral policy, so anyone can make contact.
