Care Homes
There are many Care Homes in England. Some, but not all, provide Nursing Care. Some are registered to look after residents who have dementia, some are not. A small number of homes specialise in dementia care.

Finding out about Care Homes
There are a number of ways to find out about Care Homes.
- Talk to one of Guidepost Trust, Dementia Information Service team on their advice line 0845 120 4048 to find out more about a carehome near you. Or go to one of Dementia web's local county sites for a list of care homes in your area.
- Full inspection reports of care services, can be found on the CQC (Care Quality Commission) website, or obtained by contacting the commission at

The Relatives & Residents Association is a national organisation working to promote the well-being of older residents of care homes through:
